Definition
a fixed-case strategy in equative constructions in which there are two predicates, one which attributes a gradable predicative scale to the comparee, and another which asserts that the comparee is identical to the standard on that scale. Example: Nkore-Kiga noingana Mugasho oburaingwa 'You are as tall as Mugasho' [lit. 'you-are-equal-to Mugasho in-height'] is an instance of the equal equative strategy. (Section 17.2.4)
